Lititz Mayor

  • Biography:

Born and raised in Lititz, Chris attended Lititz Christian in Elementary School and went on to graduate from Warwick High School. A born entrepreneur, in his youth, could be found sweeping floors at Benner’s Pharmacy and Bingham Framery or shoveling snow in  the neighbor’s driveways. As a teenager, he went on to intern at WJTL/Creative Ministries, which led to a 20-year career as a concert promoter.

In 1999, he bought a few used par cans from a venue that was upgrading its lighting, and Stray Lights was born.  He continued to work at this side hustle until 2017, when he took the leap to pursue STRAY full time and moved the operations to the Rock Lititz campus. Chris and his wife Melody have been married for over 20 years and have three daughters who attend Warwick Schools.

    Education:

Graduated from Warwick High School, class of 1999

    Professional Background:

Many years in event production and management have given Chris access to myriad memorable experiences, including producing events for A-list celebrities and sports stars, Vice-Presidents, and Governor Shapiro’s Inaugural Ball. But the most meaningful work he does is on the community level, partnering with local non-profits to affect change and impact lives within the neighborhoods in which he lives and works.

    Community Involvement:

In addition to his background in concert promotion and event production, Chris served on the Lancaster Hazmat Team for roughly 10 years, working his way up through the ranks to serve as both the Deputy Chief and Chief. He volunteered on the Police Commission board up until as recently as 2024, where he collaborated with council members and law enforcement to vet prospective incoming police officers. He has also volunteered with the Warwick School District Building and Property Committee, and the Warwick Emergency Services Commission.

Over the years, he has served on the Fire and Ice committee and sponsored many local community events with both his time and resources, including the Lititz Fourth of July celebration, Fire and Ice, the Venture Lititz Edison Bulb Installation project, the Lititz Ice Cream Festival, and many more. For years, he has also been a regular fixture at Borough Council meetings, seeking to better understand the way that local government functions and the challenges it faces.

Beyond the fancy committees and titles, Chris is committed to showing up for Lititz in small, practical ways. When his daughters’ elementary school indicated a shortage of crossing guards several years ago, Chris suited up and showed up at intersections across the district. Even though his kids are now old enough to cross themselves, he just kind of forgot to quit. Because when help is needed, why not us?

    Top 3 Priorities if Elected:

    1. Thoughtful and transparent budgeting of town resources

    2. Intentional collaboration with the school board to create safe and vibrant learning communities within the Warwick School District

    3. Fostering a civic-minded, robust economy in downtown Lititz

    Candidate Statement:

As a lifelong Lititz resident, I am passionate about the issues that concern my neighbors and invested in hearing their hearts and helping to be a part of easing their burden.

As a small business owner, I have had to learn how to be scrappy and work with what I have, leading to the development of innovative and creative solutions. I believe I can bring that same creativity and “can-do” spirit to conversations surrounding budgeting and collaborative cooperation across many local government and business platforms, leading to both fiscally and socially responsible solutions for our town.

Borough Council - 1st Ward

  • Biography:

I have been married for over 40 years with 2 grown children. My son lives in Elizabeth Township and my daughter lives in Peach Bottom. I have 5 grandchildren ages 3 – 12.

I have lived in Lititz first ward for 41 years. Both my wife and children attended Warwick High school.

My career has taken me down 2 different paths, corporate and blue collar. Blue collar is where I’ve been for the last 25 years working as a journeyman electrician ranging from commercial/industrial to residential construction. For the last 10 years I’ve worked as an operations manager for a company that specializes in mechanical integration solutions.

    Education:

    • JP McCaskey High School

    • Bucknell University Banking Certification Program

    • Associated Builders and Contractors Journeyman Electrical Program

    Professional Background:

    • AVP Bank Mgr. Small Business Commercial Lending

    • The Farfield Company Journeyman Electrician

    • Owner Lititz Electric

    • Operation Mgr. Dentech Industrial

    Community Involvement:

    • Small Business Development

    • Former Manheim Economic Development.

    Top 3 Priorities if Elected:

    1. Safety

    2. Streets and Traffic

    3. Zoning and Code Enforcement

    Candidate Statement:

I raised my family in Lititz, coached and umpired Little League baseball and midget football. I was associated with the Lititz Lions Club and ran a small electrical business in this community.

I’m not a politician; in fact, this is my first experience with local government. I’ve learned if you want to make a difference you have to get involved. So, I bring with me a commonsense approach to keep and maintain Lititz as a great place to raise a family.

My career started in local banking and finance, specifically Small Business Lending and automotive finance. I wore a suit and tie to work every day. In the late 1990s, early 2000s I stashed my suit and tie in the closet and went back to school to become a journeyman electrician. Learning a trade and working with my mind as well as my hands taught me a lot, and I’ve never looked back.

I bring diversity and common sense. Combining that with careful study and listening and communication can result in solutions that work.

Make sure you have the facts and details right. Do solid work from the beginning, in my opinion, local government should run along these lines and be smooth and transparent. We work for you, not the other way around.

That’s why I’m a candidate; it would be my honor to be councilman for the First Ward.

I, very simply, want to protect the heritage of Lititz that makes Lititz so special and unique while understanding the growth and change that affects us every day. I will strive to maintain a sense of fiscal responsibility, recognizing that we must work within a budget to serve all of Lititz’ residents. That doesn’t mean not spending money or having to occasionally review our tax base but rather being certain that we are the best stewards of the residents’ hard-earned money. I also vow to be sure that we always have the best health, safety, and welfare infrastructure in place for our citizens. This is the most core purpose for the existence of government and begins with prepared and capable police, fire, and medical services.
